About Happy Thoughts Agility

Britney's Background

Britney majored Biology, Wildlife Science, and minored in Psychology at Virginia Tech. She then went on to work in marine mammal training and zoo keeping for a few years before she found her passion in dog training.

Britney has extensive national and international accomplishments, some of which include:

  • 2019 AKC 12" National Champion

  • 2016 WAO Gold Medalist

  • 2017 & 2019 Member of Agility World Championship Team

  • 2019 Agility World Championship placements of 3rd & 7th

  • 2017, 2018, & 2022 EO member

  • 2018 EO team finalist

  • 2019 & 2022 Member of WAO Team

As a competitor & instructor, Britney has been successful working with dogs of different breeds and sizes. She's taught handlers and dogs of all experience levels, and loves encouraging newcomers to the sport. She presents different techniques and options based on individual needs, because there is no ​one-size-fits-all​. She believes in every dog and handler she works with, and loves seeing their bond and connection strengthen.

Founded on a strong belief in accessible education, Happy Thoughts Agility is proud to bring learning options no matter what your budget is. Britney is excited to watch her student community grow and strengthen, and help all her students thrive in this amazing sport.
